Cape Province / Kaap Provins (named after the Good Hope Cape): Occupying more than half of the South African territory, in the west, bordering Lesotho, Botswana and Namibia). Strikingly few bantusthans, all in it's eastern edge. Included Ciskei and most of Transkei, by the southeastern shore, and roughly half of Bophutatswana, in the northwest. It was reorganized in the new provinces of Western Cape, Northern Cape, Eastern Cape and the western half of North-West.
