This city of 19,451 inhabitants was founded on August 11, 1815. The flag of Adjuntas takes its symbolim and part of its design from the CoA. The crosses symbolize San Joaquín [Joaqui'n] and Santa Ana. The white stands for purity, the purple for Manto San Joaquín, and the green for the vegetation.
