Flag of Flagstad

[Flag of Flakstad] by Jan Oskar Engene, 06 August 1996

A white hawser bolt on blue. Adopted: 14 July 1989. Designer: Jarle E. Henriksen. I am not sure I have translated the name of the device right. The thing is what you use to fasten a boat to land.

Flag of Moskenes

[Flag of Moskenes] by Jan Oskar Engene, 06 August 1996

A white spiral on blue. Adopted: 12 September 1986. Designer: Arvid Sveen. The spiral represents the strong tidal current called Moskenesstraumen. The drawing is less than perfect because the spiral is difficult to draw.

Flag of Roest

[Flag of Roest] by Jan Oskar Engene, 06 August 1996

Three black cormorants on white. Adopted: 28 November 1986. Designer: Arvid Sveen.

Flag of Varoy

[Flag of Vaeroy] by Jan Oskar Engene, 06 August 1996

A white puffin on blue. Adopted: 7 October 1988. Designer: John Digernes. In some renderings, the puffin is armed red. I don't know whether that version is used on the flag, I decided to use the simplest possible drawing (in accordance with the definition).

Flag of Vagan

[Flag of Vagan] by Jan Oskar Engene, 06 August 1996

A white codfish on blue. Adopted 30 March 1973. Designer: Hallvard Traetteberg.

Flag of Vestvagoy

[Flag of Vestagoey] by Jan Oskar Engene, 06 August 1996

Two white stockfish on blue. Adopted: 7 September 1984. Designer: Kjell Kvivesen.
