The flag of the neo-nazi Nationaldemokratische Partie Deutschlands (NPD) was red with a white circle. NPD was formed in the early 1960s with several right-wing parties merged and was rather successful in the elections during the 60s (for example 13,1% of the votes in Nürnberg) but lost most of it's support in the early 70s.

"NL>" flag

[NL> flag]
by Jorge Candeias, 20 Nov 1997

A couple of weeks ago (actually, it was in the eves of the german elections), I saw a clip on TV that showed a rallie of some german neonazi group, with a flag very visible. It was a red flag with a white cross throughout. The cross charged with a black disk with a broad white fimbriation and in turn charged with the letters "NL" in white capitals with the peculiarity the the "L" ended in an arrowhead. Anyone knows this flag or the group it belongs to?
