A lot of information for its size!
Nick Pharris, 14 Jul 1998
Very good illustrations, unfornately ruined by black
lines into the drawings with explanations of this and
that in the drawings...too bad.
Steve Stringfellow, 02 Aug 1999
As far as I can tell, the drawings originate from the
same vector original as the World Flag Data Base. The black
lines are there precisely to "ruin" the images, I guess,
as a way to disencourage cheap piracy...
An excellent book, I say, of outstanding value for its rather
small size.
António Martins, 02 Aug 1999
The second US printing of the first edition
[udk97a] is revised from the
"real" first edition. For Bosnia Hertzegovina, they show the new
flag, but there is still a "tick" mark leading to the center
referring to the shield with fleurs-de-lis of the old flag!
Nick Artimovich, 11 Nov 1998

Those published up through 1938 are excellent sources of
international seagoing flags; they are essentially the US counterparts to
the Flaggenbuch [neu39],
Album des Pavillons [pay],
and Admiralty Flags of the World [hms55].
Those from 1946 on are mainly focused on flags used by the US Navy itself.
