Virgin

The Virgin Mary.

Wood, gesso, paint; glass eyes, lashes, wig; fabric garments; slightly shorter than the Madre de los Dolores described above, 5'.

This is an undistinguished piece of work, with not much sheen to the skin and a rudimentary treatment of the facial features. Some of the fingers are broken.

Behind this statue is a plaster santo.

Location: To the right of the Señor de la Misericordia.
