Arrest Measures Applied to Citizen

Citizen Ramón Morejón Castillo is one of the cases related to the acts of repression unleashed by the political police during the month of July.

Morejón Castillo has been under arrest and subject to interrogatories, in investigative proceedings, since July 25th in Villa Marista, headquarters of the State Security Department.

Last July 25th, the home of Morejón Castillo was searched from 7 in the morning until 12 noon. Twelve police agents participated in the search and Morejón was arrested and taken to Villa Marista.

His relatives declared that Ramón Morejón Castillo is not a member of any opposition organization, and added that according to the case prosecutor the investigative process may go on for 60 days.

According to information provided by his relatives, two years ago Morejón Castillo was arrested and kept at Villa Marista and at the detention center located at 100 and Aldabo for approximately 60 days under suspicion of sabotaging the elections.
