Psalm CXXV

Folio 55r

David prays before an open chapel, while several figures emerge from a house behind him, apparently to join in his supplication.
They represent the Israelites returned from their captivity, for this psalm was created upon the King's return from exile: "When the Lord brought back the captivity of Sion, we became like men comforted."
In the background is a landscape of distant grassy hills which appear blue.
