Psalm XCV praises the Lord with a canticle which anticipates the Last Judgment: "Then shall all the trees of the woods rejoice before the face of the Lord, because he cometh: because he cometh to judge the earth. He shall judge the world with justice, and the people with his truth. "
The Lord Christ is seated upon clouds; His feet, showing their wounds, rest on a globe symbolizing the earth.
The Virgin and a kneeling figure, probably John the Baptist, beg Him to he merciful. Below, the elect adore on the Lord's right, while the damned plunge into the jaws of hell on His left.
