Former worker who spent 3 years in prison for passing out leaflets during the 1989 Pro-Democracy Movement and is currently a pedicab driver.
Arrested at 4 p.m. on May 26 from the home he was sharing with Fang Zheng, Fang Meng, Liu Jiangtai and Zheng Xuguang in Haikou, Hainan. Questioned about taking part in an open letter being drafted by Liu Jiangtai and still being held at the Hainan Public Security Office. 28, former Shaanxi Yen'an Normal University student, imprisoned for 2 years for participating in the 1989 Pro-Democracy Movement.
Taken by Chongqing Public Security Officers without any warrant from his work unit's dormitory on May 21. 50+, a political prisoner for more than 10 years and a "Blood" petition signatory.
Taken by police from his home in Hangzhou at 9 in the evening on May 24. There has been no further word from him. Fu, 28, served 2 years of Re-education Through Labor for publishing a journal called "A Generation" in 1988 and distributing it in Beijing in 1989.

Arrested with his wife, Zhang Ling, on May 18 at 4:30 a.m. at their home in the artist's colony bordering on Yuanmingyuan on the outskirts of Beijing (over 70 artists who lived there have since been ordered to leave). 45-year old famed poet of the 1978-79 Democracy Wall Movement. Picked up by a large group of police officers who appeared from a waiting jeep as he saw a friend to a door at his Beijing home without a warrant on May 21, at 3 p.m. Later that evening more than 20 police searched his home confiscating letters, newspapers, magazines, and photographs. Before his arrest, Liu had refused to take his wife and daughter on a "tour" of Hainan Island with a police record for his "own safety". Questioned regarding an open letter he was writing exposing official graft and corruption and appealing for a re-evaluation of the June 4th Tiananmen Massacre. The letter had not yet been made public. Lu, 28, is a former student of the Hainan Mining Institute and was an active participant in the 1989 pro-democracy movement.
Missing in Hangzhou since signing open letter in to NPC calling for release of Wang Dan, Liu Nianchun, and others on May 24. Former Zhejiang Province Normal University student and Party Member, arrested on June 6, 1989 for putting up poster and poems denouncing the June 4 killings and an open letter renouncing his Party membership and sentenced to 8 years in prison and 3 years deprived of political rights. Released early during China's failed 1993 bid to host the Olympics.
Arrested by several police on the afternoon of May 21, his home was searched and documents confiscated later that evening. Wang has been on a hunger strike since his detainment. Missing since detained by police on the afternoon of May 26 after leaving home of Gou Qinghui. Wang is a Christian from Wenzhou.
Spent 12 years of a 14-year sentence in a Guangdong prison for activities during the 1978-79 Democracy Wall movement. Arrived in Beijing on May 16 to appeal the prolongment of his parole and was arrested at his hotel that evening. On May 26, the authorities informed his wife that Wang had already been escorted back to Guangzhou where he will be held for 15 days for breaking his parole and going to Beijing without permission.
Detained in Hangzhou since meeting at Wang Donghai's home to draft and sign open letter to NPC calling for the release of Wang Dan, Liu Nianchun, and others on May 24. On May 26 police informed friends that he would be detained for "one long week".
Arrested on May 25 in Hangzhou. Former Beijing University Physics Department student who was student leader during the 1989 Pro-Democracy Movement.
Detained at 8 p.m. on May 24 at the Hangzhou home of Wang Danghai while drafting open letter to NPC. Held for questioning and sent to his family's home in Taizhou, Zhejiang Province. A former teacher in Taizhou, after the 1989 Beijing Massacre Wu put up posters, lectured to students and organized a demonstration protesting the killing and was subsequently imprisoned for 2 years. He now drives a pedicab for a living.
Taken by police without a warrant from the Beijing hospital where he is a doctor on May 25. Returned to his home briefly on the morning of May 26 with 3 police officers who allowed him to pick up some personal items and taken into custody again. Xu Yonghai is a prominent member of the Beijing Protestant Holy Spirit Association and signatory of the "Blood" petition.
Detained by the Nanjing Public Security officers on May 25 and told he would be held for 15 days for violating his "deprivation of political rights" order and leaving Nanjing without permission. Xu has been detained by police six times since March. Veteran activist of the 1979 Democracy Wall Movement and member of the April 5 Forum, Xu, 45, has been imprisoned twice for his pro-democracy activities for a total of 12 years. He was released in 1992.

Zheng and his wife Gao Min also live with Fang Zheng, Fang Meng, and Liu Jiangtai whose Haikou home was searched on the afternoon of May 26. Both were taken in for questioning regarding Zheng's participation in the drafting of an open letter by Lu Jiangtai. His wife was released, but Zheng Xuguang remains in custody in the Hainan Public Security Office. "Blood" petition signatory. Former student of Beijing Aeronautics and Aerospace University and on 21-Most Wanted Students list after the June 4th, 1989 Beijing Massacre, arrested and served a two-year prison sentence. In 1993, Zheng was arrested again and held for nearly 10 months for founding a human rights organization with Ma Shaohua.
