Moleben of the Blessed Virgin Mary is a modification of the ancient Paraklys, a special church function composed of tropars, kondaks and irmoses.
Moleben to the Blessed Virgin originated at the beginning of the 20th century in Western Ukraine and became a beloved church function in honor of the Mother of God, It is used every Wednesday and throughout the whole month of May.
It was composed by Father Meletius Lonchyna.
