SEDIQ ( TAROKO, Saediq, Seedik, Sejik )

Spoken by 4,800 people in central, eastern and coastal Taiwan. Also in the northern mountains in the Puli area and along the south coast of Hualien, south of the Atayal, Taiwan. The people are called 'Sediq', the language 'Taroko'.

Note: This language uses the Chinese Phonetic Alphabet called 'Bopomofo'. It is called after the first four syllables appearing in this alphabet, nameley bo-po-mo-fo.
