Eric Camilleri was born on 28th September 1978 in Canada. He started his musical training at the age of nine with the Luqa filarmonic society "Unjoni" under the direction of Mro. John David Zammit. The first instrument he played (after three years of training) was the Althorn. At the age of ten he started studying the piano and theory of music with the same maestro, something he is still doing toay. At the age of 12 he started discovering the thrills of rock music and the guitar. At the prevocational school he met other guitar playing youths among them Sylvan Butler (the band's bassisit) and all this sparkled in him the desire to study this instrument, something he is still doing today. After university (nursing practice) he continued to concentrate on studying the guitar. He took part in various local festivals and musicals. among them the festival "Ghanja tal-poplu" and the festival "Song for Europe". Today he also form part of "Curtain Raiser" which offered him the possibility to perform in other musicals. He also finished his Grede 6 in theory of Music and will start studying the Classical Guitar. Eric joined SKENE at the age of 18 and took part in all major productions ever since. In 2002 he and his twin brother Patrick were the initiators of the musical experience which was to become SKENE's residential band. Thus James, Sylvan and Josef (with whom Eric had already had some musical experience) were called in for Riflessi and now for Dawlfiddlam.
