Professor Dr. Christian Hermmann of the Department of Biblical Studies of University of Fribourg, Switzerland, visited the Museum of the Studium Biblicum Franciscanum in order to take pictures of a collection of molds of faience from Ancient Egypt.
The collection was bought in the '70s from the antiquity market in Jerusalem by the late Fr. Godfrey Kloetzli. A much larger amount of molds from the same origin was bought at that time by the Fribourg University and has been already published by Dr. Christian Herrmann.
It is now known that all these molds come from Tel el-Dab'a in the Delta of Egypt, the ancient Pi-Ramses of the New Kingdom, i.e., the city of Ramses mentioned in the Bible where the ancient Israelites worked (Exod. 1:11)
