The 16th of May, a group of professors and students of the Studium set off to visit some places in the region of Samaria. Despite the many military check point still present along the roads, they have succeeded in their intent of getting to the ancient city of Sebaste (Samaria). In the following pages, we will present a relation of this visit. A description of the Christian history and antiquities of the place visited is reported from the book by the late Bellarmino Bagatti OFM (Ancient Christian Villages of Samaria, English edition, Franciscan Printing Press, Jerusalem 2002 [see here a presentation of the book]).
