Although the way of the cross is conducted officially every Friday by the Franciscans, the way of the cross of Good Friday is something unique. On this day there will be a multitude of faithful from all over the world to fill Jerusalem with their prayers and singing.

1. Faithful are carrying the special cross used only for this occasion.
2-4. The courtyard of the Arab school Omariyya, where Jesus is believed to be condemned, is the starting point of the the Way of the Cross.
We adore you, O Christ, and we bless you, because by your holy cross you have redeemed the world.
5-6. The way of the cross at the fifth station and its arrival in the courtyard of the Holy Sepulchre.
7-9. Stations on Mount Calvary.
10. Procession passes along the "Stone of Unction" to the Holy Tomb
11. Final benediction by Fr Custos.
12. The arrival of the Christians of Jerusalem carrying the heavy cross.
13. The faithful moving into the Church of Holy Sepulchre from the courtyard.
