Raphidim (Num 33:14), a place in the desert near Mount Horeb, where the water came out of the rock of Mount Horeb (Exodus 17:6), and the place was named "temptation". There also Joshua fought Amalek near Pharan (Exodus 17:8-9). (Eusebius, Onomasticon 142:22-25; Jerome 143:24-26) |
