105. Arad, whence the Aradites - (Tell Arad)

A gate flanked by two towers.


Arad (Num 33:40; 34:4 LXX), city of the Amorites near the desert of Kadesh, and to this day there is a village (of this name) at the 4th milestone from the town of Malatha, and the 20th from Hebron. In the tribe of Judah. (Eusebius, Onomasticon 14:1-3; Jerome 15:1-3)
