68. Anob now Betoannaba - ('Innaba Beit Nuba)

Anob (Jos. 11:21), a city which Joshua conquuered, and today there is a village near Diospolis (Lod) at about four miles to the east, which is called Betoannaba. But most people maintain that it is eight miles from Diospolis and its name is Beth-annaba. (Eusebius, Onomasticon 20:15-17; Jerome 21:17-20)
