Acrabbin (Num 34:4), the border of Judaea to the east, in the lot of Judah. it is a large village, nine miles from Neapolis to the east when one goes down to the Jordan and Jericho via the so-called Acrabattene. Acrabim in the Scripture is also the border of the Amorites, from which the tribe of Naphtali did not drive out the Canaanites, as is written in the Book of Jugdes (Judg 1:36). (Eusebius, Onomasticon 14:7-12; Jerome 15:7-12) |
