The mosaic of the priests Teofilus and Alexios
To the south, a dedicatory inscription in Greek was inserted on the white tesseraed background of area M. This inscription is made up of four lines enclosed in a simple panel made up of a line of black tesserae between two white lines. The letters of the inscription are written in black tesserae. The name of the presbyter Alexios found in this inscription, which is dated to the IV-V century, might be an important element for the dating of the mosaic of the cella trichora, carried out at the time of Alexios, presbyter and egumen. Even the way the letters are made in both inscriptions seem very similar, especially the button-holed letter A to the left
